Nowadays it's a lot different. Of course that's good and bad. It's not so original anymore but there are so many platforms to put it on and so much demand for it. Getting noticed takes work though. Some of my videos do well but it's because they've been placed on highly seo'd pages to tell the SE's what they are about. They seem to take off afterwards though.
